Is there danger in withdrawal from alcohol, and what, exactly, is alcohol withdrawal?

Withdrawal from alcohol, (as with any other drug), is simply a set of symptoms that occur when a person suddenly stops using it after a long period of time. Through observation and experience over time, it is observed that there is a set of symptoms that is readily identifiable. Though not everybody may have all symptoms, they are generally easily recognized and can occur in varying degrees from light to severe.

Some of the more common alcohol withdrawal symptoms can be observed by simply looking at a hangover. Headache, mild shakiness, upset stomach, and sweats are all common symptoms.
The more severe symptoms that generally occur with long-term exposure to high amounts of continuous alcohol use are the "DTs". These are called delirium tremens. People would DTs generally experience anxiety, confusion, visual, aural hallucinations and seeing things that really aren't there. Stories that illustrate DTs are seeing pink elephants, the feelings of bugs crawling on a person, etc.

Alcohol withdrawal symptoms generally occur with habitual drinkers. The reason for this is their body has become the used to high levels of alcohol intake, and actually goes through a shock when the intake is suddenly stopped.

Is there danger in alcohol withdrawal?
The answer to that question is that alcohol withdrawal can be very dangerous. Other than delirium tremens, a person who has habituated themselves to a high intake of alcohol over a long period of time, and suddenly stops, runs a significant risk of seizures. It is suggested in the strongest possible terms that medical supervision is used for alcohol withdrawal.

A number of people wonder if withdrawal from alcohol is actually painful. The answer to this is yes it can be. The medications that are used in a medically monitored alcohol detox program allow a person to "come down" gently over a period of several days. The purpose of this is to reduce the possibility of seizures. Medically detoxing is like rolling to the bottom of a hill, quitting cold turkey is like getting to the bottom of the hill by jumping off a cliff.

Capture that idea - blogging is about ideas

We know that great things start with a small idea and yet not all ideas that occur to us are able to see the light of day in terms of a considered piece of writing. But if you are into blogging then you will know that once a great idea is there a great blog post is just a little more time away. And we all would have experienced how difficult it can be to come up with an idea on demand. Even for some of the very creative ones amongst us.

Though once we recognize that ideas are of great importance we can learn to respect them and treat them with care so that ideas that occur to us do not evaporate away as other events in our life pile up one on top of the other.
So what can one do to increase our ability to care for our ideas? Well to start with one must recognize that a good idea does not come all fleshed out in great detail, it usually comes along as a seed of an idea that we then build it into a great idea. Once we have a great idea we care for it and perhaps may jot it down, but while it is still a seed we may not be as careful and there would be seeds of ideas that occurred to us but were later forgotten and were never allowed to evolve further. And that is not the best way for a blog writer. A better way is to jot down every seed of an idea as it occurs to us in a fleeting manner. For doing this you can use a pen and paper handy or you could use your cell phone to record a brief line about the seed of the idea which you can use later to refresh your memory.

Later when we have more time we can check out the thoughts that we have jotted down and start to develop them further. This method will allow us to do justice to all ideas that occur to us without worrying about how to remember them.

I often need to write on digital scales and if a fleeting though occurs to me I use my cell phone and speak out the idea briefly. Later I do the research related to the idea and write out the full article. I hope you find this approach useful as well.

Why Link Exchange Considered As Black Hat By Google

Google is not like yahoo and bing , because it only work on fair basis. In other search engines you can pay and get high rank unlike Google. If you are an SEO person than you must have idea about Black Hat SEO and White Hat SEO techniques. Link Exchange considered as black hat SEO, but why? The reason behind it is the division of PR between the parties. Google work on fair basis and any technique which vanished these fair meanings considered as Black Hat. Let me tell you about the PR division.
Suppose we have two site s, site A and site B. Both having same page rank value. We need to implement link exchange technique on them. Let me explain how link juice will be divided in both sites.

F(x) value of link juice transfer when site link to another. Page rank is like worth of your site and a part of it contributes for every outbound link of your site. For every dofollow link juice transfer , this is the reason why no one allow to place dofollow link on site, blog or any type of web page.

When site A first place link on it for site B, page rank of B will be up when search engine crawled it. Now the link from B to A will have more link juice as the Rank of B is up. In this case B is getting less than A.

So link exchange seems to be link division on equal basis but it is not actually.

There are some other disadvantages of link exchange. Like when exchange link from non relevant site there will be no chance of traffic but only the waste of your own link juice. Bulk link exchange will triggers search engines that site having some un natural behavior.

Link s the partners place to show without no follow attribute but later they make links with nofollow attribute. Which give you no point of placing link on them.

So be precautious when you are using link exchange technique for your site. For Professional SEO services consider the advice of experts.

Can You Be Fit and Fat?

YES: In fact, it's a worthy goal.
Steven Blair, PED, professor of exercise science, epidemiology and biostatistics at the University of South Carolina

It's better than being thin and unfit.
Overweight people who exercise just 150 minutes a week have half the risk of mortality of normal-weight people who don't exercise at all, according to research I conducted. That's not true once you move from overweight (meaning a body mass index, or BMI, of 25 to 29.9) to obese (a BMI of 30 or more). But being fit and a little fat seems to be fine.
Weight alone doesn't raise disease risk-lack of fitness does.
In one study, half of overweight adults and one-third of obese people who were active had normal blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar, putting them at normal risk for heart disease and diabetes, which are both supposedly caused by weight.

Getting fit is more realistic than getting slim.
For most people, diets don't work in the long term. We ought to be thinking about different strategies. It's far easier for a fat person to get fit than thin.

You can't be obese and fit.
Unless you're in that tiny fraction of the population-like pro athletes or the very muscular-whose muscle mass explains their high BMI. For most people with a BMI of 30 or more, their fitness is reduced by their weight, and their risk of conditions like diabetes and heart disease goes up.

Exercise doesn't erase all the risks of being heavy.
Yes, physical activity is important, but so is watching what you eat. Most studies show that both diet and exercise are important for diabetes prevention, for instance. And a study in the journal Obesity suggests that people with the highest BMIs have unhealthy eating habits.

Playing down the problem of excess weight is dangerous.
If you're heavy, you can cut your mortality risk by eating well and exercising-but research suggests that even active obese people are at 91% greater risk of dying than active people of normal weight.

High rates of tuberculosis, HIV and hepatitis B

High rates of tuberculosis, HIV and hepatitis B are found in migrants coming to live as long-term residents in Britain, according to a report.

Three-quarters of tuberculosis cases reported in Britain last year were born abroad, with many diagnosed two or more years after their arrival.

Almost two-thirds of newly diagnosed cases of HIV and 80 per cent of hepatitis B infected blood donors in 2010 were born abroad.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) report says 12 per cent of people living in Britain in 2010 were born abroad - up from 8 per cent in 2001.

'A small proportion of the non-UK born residents bear the greatest burden of infectious disease reported in the UK,' it says.

The report found that half of migrants with newly diagnosed HIV had probably become infected in Britain.
Migrants going back to visit family and friends are the 'main risk group' for infections such as malaria and enteric fever diagnosed in Britain, it reports.

Almost two-thirds of malaria cases reported here last year and 87 per cent of enteric fever cases were among migrants who travelled abroad to visit friends and relatives, said the agency.

Dr Jane Jones, head of the travel and migrant section at HPA, said: 'The majority of non-UK born residents do not have infectious disease but some are at higher risk than UK-born residents because of their exposures and their life experiences prior to, during and after migration.

'It is important to remember that risk to non-UK born residents does not end on arrival in the UK,' she added.

Fitness Inspiration for Cancer Patients

Those who have cancer may feel like the treatments are more draining than the disease itself. These can sap their energy, making them feel weak and tired all of the time. They may even feel nauseous and sick. This is not the way that they want to live, and they will be glad to know that it is not the way that they have to live. Something that many people do not realize is that exercise can really help them to overcome these feelings. It can help them to regain their strength and to feel better.
Increased Strength
First of all, exercise can help them by increasing their muscle mass and making them physically stronger. The body will be weak already, so this strength can help them to feel like they are able to be more active. They will be able to do more things, showing them that their life can still be as fulfilling as they desire.

Better Blood-Flow and a Higher Heart Rate
Any exercise gets the heart working. This helps to prevent blood clots and other such problems. The rising heart rate can also make them feel less lethargic. This is one of the reasons that cancer patients have been shown to have a lower risk of a reoccurrence of cancer if they are exercising frequently.

An Improved Outlook
Exercise can just help people to feel better in an emotional sense. They will be more awake and alert. This will improve their mood. It can also help them to connect with those around them.

The Best Exercises
Some exercises are ideal for cancer survivors. One such exercise is simply stretching. Increased flexibility helps with blood flow and allows more exercises to be possible. Resistance training with weights or machines is also a good idea since patients will have often lose muscle mass during their treatment. They could also have gained fat, and having larger muscles will help them to burn it off. As they start to feel better, aerobic exercises such as walking or swimming are encouraged. These can also help to reduce fat.

How To Stay Motivated
When someone is not feeling well, it can be hard for them to want to do anything, let alone work out. They need to keep the positives in mind so that they can be encouraged to continue working out. They need to set goals for themselves. Even small goals, such as walking for a mile, can be helpful. Furthermore, they could reward themselves when they accomplish certain things. They should also think of exercise as a way of showing cancer that it cannot rule their life.

Many doctors and patients have noticed the benefits of exercise and healthy living throughout cancer treatment. Many hospitals have open fitness classes, and some gyms offer course designed for cancer patients or survivors. No matter what, patients with an unfavorable cancer prognosis, lean towards some sort of exercise routine. They are fun, social, and exciting ways to learn how to challenge the body.
